Is this course for you?
This course is aimed at all health and social care staff who have an interest in health and social care research with limited recent experience. You will currently be employed within primary, secondary or social care, public health and other community settings.
Support from your line manager is essential, together with approval to attend all three workshops.
This course is free to attend.
Course outline
The course is delivered virtually and includes three workshops via Zoom, additional online learning resources and the opportunity to reflect and share your learning. The workshops will allow you to discuss aspects of health and social care research with expert presenters and your colleagues.
- The first workshop gives a general overview of research including the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) & the Clinical Research Network (CRN), basics of clinical research & more.
- The second workshop is all about research practicalities and will give you an understanding of the different ways you can be involved in research.
- The third workshop is about useful behaviours in research which will help you to engage with your colleagues and research participants in your practice.
There are opportunities for reflection and consolidation built-in throughout the course, allowing you to review the implications of your learning to your own practice and career.
