About the course

The aim of the Informed Consent in Research virtual sessions is to provide participants with a sound grounding in the standards required when receiving consent in clinical research.

The Virtual Classroom Session is a combination of slides, discussions, interactive chat and group activities designed to bring the principles of valid informed consent into the workplace. We aim to promote discussion about practice and how to share best practice.

Following the workshop you should be able to:

  • understand the ethical and legal considerations that influence the practice of informed consent
  • understand the process of receiving informed consent and the roles and responsibilities of those involved
  • know where to go for further advice or support and how to keep updated
