People across the UK took part in the #Red4Research campaign on Friday 3 April 2020, to show their appreciation to researchers across the globe who are working under additional pressures due to COVID-19.
Those taking part wore an item of red clothing and posted a photo of themselves on social media using the hashtag #Red4Research.
Many people got involved across North West London, including healthcare professionals, the public, researchers and members of staff at the NIHR Clinical Research Network North West London.
Research teams are working hard to develop new diagnostics and treatments for COVID-19. The campaign demonstrates the high levels of support and appreciation for all those undertaking, supporting and participating in COVID-19 research.
The #Red4Research campaign was created by Sally Humphreys, nurse, researcher and chair of the NHS R&D Forum research management working group.
