Healthcare professionals, researchers and other stakeholders gathered to discuss improving research representation at the first meeting of CRN South London's Inclusivity Panel.

This panel will work to ensure south London research is inclusive and representative of the local population.

The meeting was held in the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust's Education Centre on York Road in Waterloo. Most delegates met in person, while some joined the discussion virtually.

The Inclusivity Panel is working on finalising its terms of reference and six key areas of work. People also spoke about their experiences and why Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is so important.

Chifundo Stubbs, EDI Lead for CRN South London, said:

"We have a great opportunity to make a real difference to our communities through the work of this panel, and I can't wait to see what we are going to achieve together over the coming months."
