Did you know that 40% of pregnant women and new mothers experience anxiety?
We are testing a new online training package as part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)-funded RELAX study. We hope our intervention will reduce worry and anxiety in pregnant women and new mothers.
Women have told us how anxiety experienced during pregnancy made their lives miserable. Anxiety can impact different aspects of people’s lives and affect their loved ones. My team and I encourage and welcome pregnant women from all backgrounds across south London to take part in the RELAX study.
As the researcher leading this study, I want to understand if our training helps reduce anxiety in pregnant women and new mothers. We need as many people as possible to help us determine whether this intervention is beneficial.
Everyone taking part will receive a £25 online shopping voucher for each completed assessment. There are four assessments over nine months. Those who complete the screening questionnaire on the website will also be entered into a prize draw. The prize draw winner will receive a £50 online shopping voucher.
