A first-of-its-kind census has been launched to find out the true size of the nursing and midwifery clinical research workforce and to identify any “gaps”.
The survey is being carried out as part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) 70@70 Senior Nurse and Midwife Research Leaders Programme.
It is open to all registered nurses and midwives working either full or part time in a clinical research role in any setting across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
The short survey aims to understand the true size of the research nursing and midwifery workforce through self-reporting of those within this community. Every research nurse and midwife, working in any setting, including within the NHS, the NIHR, higher education, industry, academia and social care is encouraged to fill in the survey.
The survey will be open until Sunday 31 October.
