A workforce development lead is urging south London students to consider a career with the NIHR as part of the Your Path in Research campaign.

The NIHR funds, enables and delivers world-leading health and social care research that improves people's health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth.

Nhlanhla Mguni, who is also a research delivery manager within the NIHR Clinical Research Network South London, believes the chance to make a difference for people is what makes research an exciting profession.

The NIHR's Your Path in Research campaign highlights how people can make research part of their career. Nhlanhla said:

"The research landscape is constantly changing, which is why we want to support learners to better understand new types of science, innovations in the application of technologies and methodologies associated with research.

"Over 10,000 front-line research delivery staff working throughout the NHS are funded or part-funded by the NIHR. I'd urge students to consider a career with the NIHR as we need their help to continue transforming the treatment and care patients and the wider public receive."
