CRN South London has launched the National Institute for Health Research's (NIHR) Participant in Research Experience Survey (PRES) locally.
Each year, the NIHR asks thousands of people who volunteered for health research to give feedback on their experience so improvements can be made.
The network is delivering the survey in a digital format due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but paper copies of the PRES are also available on request.
Join Dementia Research and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Coordinator Abdul Choudhury said:
“It is very important to hear what people who have taken part in research have to say. We need to know what is being done well, but also be told about where improvements should be made.
“The survey is also an opportunity for people to thank the researchers and research teams who deliver these studies in a variety of health and social care settings. The advantage of a digital approach is that we can make changes in consultation with our partners in real time.”
A total of 1,757 PRES surveys were completed and returned in south London last year.
The network’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer Dawn Beaumont-Jewell said: “We are privileged to have such a fantastic range of partners in health and social care who help us in delivering this survey every year.
“People’s input into the PRES can really help in improving the design and delivery of research studies both now and in the future. The results of research can transform lives and communities.”
You can complete the PRES via CRN South London's Google Form. Please email crnsouthlondon@nihr.ac.uk if you have any questions, comments or issues in completing this form.
